Gryffindors are brave and Ravenclaws are smart and Hufflepuffs are nice and Slytherins are not. Right? Right.

And the hat knows what your inner self is because it’s MAGIC. Duh. People who don’t get that are baumy okay? That is THE POINT. Magic school, magic hat, magic spell, magic magic magic tells you where you go! Right? Right.

And then you’re there and of course you’re supposed to mingle across House-y lines and all but no mixing Lions with Snakes because THAT is just not how it WORKS. Right? Right.

Only: WRONG.

Truthyness is maaaaaybe you or I or Harry (love ya Harry!!) lean one way or another but everybody’s got the capacity to be brave and smart and nice and not and keeping like with like is the best way to lose. I know! I’m a Weasley and Weasley=Gryffindor. I know. I’m JUST SAYING. People need to bend a little more. People who don’t bend end up losing. And the MAGIC HAT knows it.

Hello! I'm Ginny Weasley. I never know what I'm supposed to write for this stuff.

Basically the rundown is: I'm 18 TODAY. (Happy Birthday to me!) This makes me an adult all across the UK, Wizarding World or not. Wizarding World meaning: I am a witch. I just recently finished at Hogwarts so now I'm working part time at my big brother's joke shop. But I want to play Quidditch professionally. I've a trial coming up. I'm a Chaser which makes it both easier and harder. Easier because there are three per team (plus alternates), harder because there are more of us vying for the spots. I'm good, though, no lie.

So I mentioned big brothers. I have six of them. SIX. Five alive*. Can you say overprotective? Yes, you can. Love them all though, tons. Even Percy. :P (That's me sticking my tongue out. I am totally on top of these muggle emoticons). Anyway, I love my family, we're the very best family in this here world and I'm not even a little bit kidding. Heroes every one of them and GOOD SOULS to boot. Shouldn't believe all Purebloods are evil any more than you should believe all muggle-borns are evil.

And then there's Harry. Harry's my boyfriend and nearly everyone in the Wizarding World knows who he is (there has to be SOMEONE who has been living under a rock for the last 20 years and doesn't, but pretty much everybody at least THINKS they know who he is). All sorts of people in the Muggle World have an idea they know him too. Well he's every bit the hero they say he is. But to me he's not Harry Potter, the Most Famous Wizard in the World. He's Harry, my boyfriend.

Think that about covers it. So. HELLO!! Birthday cupcakes absolutely welcome :D (<-Super Happy. Heart.->) <3


*ooc: I can't keep track of who's dead and who's back, but as there is no Fred (or George) at [info]fandom_muses I went with canon. If that doesn't mesh with everybody else, just say so :)

It's true. You got me. I have been quiet. BeCAUSE --- I have been busy! I'm at the joke shop now. It's a good time but it keeps me on my toes. Plus, I have try outs upcoming for professional quidditch. I got scouted while at Hogwarts and invited to participate but I still have to ROCK the actual day so I've been spending every moment I'm not helping out at WWW (Weasley's Wizard Wheezes not World Wide Web) refining my game.

Except OF COURSE for the moments spent with one Mister Harry James Potter who so recently celebrated his birthday. I didn't post a pretty Birthday Notice here on the WWW (World Wide Web not Weasley's Wizard Wheezes) or even on the WWWW (Wizard World Wide Web) beCAUSE I gave him his birthday notices in person OBVIOUSLY. So don't (and you KNOW who you are!!) go about thinking Ginny Weasley isn't a good girlfriend because BAD NEWS TO YOU: Ginny Weasley is the very best girlfriend on this green earth, not to mention the best on the WWW (World Wide Web), the WWWW (Wizard World Wide Web) and at WWW (Weasley's Wizard Wheezes). If you doubt me just ask Harry! So anyway, here’s my take on any naysayers (I made a banner because I am Just That Cute):

Utopia?

That's a pretty word for perfect, right?

According to Dad’s Muggle dictionary (oh, Oxford English) it’s a noun meaning:

1. a. An ideally perfect place, especially in its social, political, and moral aspects.
b. A work of fiction describing a utopia.

2. An impractical, idealistic scheme for social and political reform.

Well. You know what THAT smacks of?

Voldemort.

Utopia = Perfect = Purity = Pureblood Superiority = Voldemort

So I can't really get behind the idea, you know? Also, note the second definition calls it IMPRACTICAL. Isn't that amazing? The dictionary is opinionated! But I don't disagree. You know what you get with the ideals of Pureblood Superiority? IN-BREEDING. I mean do you KNOW how many of the old families are right bonkers? Sticking to the old bloodlines limits your options which is not only BORING and not taking TRUE LOVE into account – it creates crazy people.

So. No Utopia for me. I cannot imagine you are surprised. I'm a WEASLEY. Imperfection is our bag. In all its glory.

Name three things that you're looking forward to in the near future and why.

1. I am graduating from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in just a couple months. After the events of last year, this year seemed like a holiday. It went by so quickly. It was odd being top class. Not having any brothers here. Odd. And not having Harry and Hermione and all of them. I saw them all on weekends and holidays and when Harry snuck in, of course, but their absence was felt in the space between our lives...

Hahaha, I am so kidding. About the space absence. Not about looking forward to graduation. I am very ready to graduate (WHY did Harry and Ron and Hermione and just EVERYONE get to skip out on seventh year? Huh? It is seriously hard to be the youngest.)

2. Quidditch! Playoffs are upon us and Gryffindor is going to WIN or my name isn't Ginevra Weasley. (Don't call me Ginevra. I'm just using it for emphasis.)

3. Gryffindor is ALSO going to win House Cup.
